One student with perfect attendance in Santa Ana Unified will win a new car from Guaranty Chevrolet. The school district will offer a high school student a brand new Aveo, valued at $16,000 for the fifth year in a row. Students from the district's seven high schools with perfect attendance from the first day of classes in the fall through the end of May are eligible. Officials will randomly select one student from that group on Saturday in June during a drawing at the dealership. The student, or a family member, with a valid driver’s license and at least age 18 can claim the prize and must be present to win. About 370 students were eligible in June 2010. Additional prizes will be raffled off prior to the car giveaway. All prizes are donated. The winner is responsible for the registration fees, taxes and insurance costs.
